Six pools in total include one with a swim-up bar and two children's pools with slides. The RIU Land kids' club keeps younger guests busy, RIU Fit runs guided classes, and the gym is open round the clock. At night the RIU Party takes over, with shows and live music.

Rooms lean toward families. The Double Standard is 28 square metres with a balcony or terrace, and garden-view and partial sea-view doubles are the same size. Family Rooms are 31 square metres with sea view, and two-bedroom rooms run from 44 to 63 square metres. The largest, the three-bedroom Family Room with sea view, has two bathrooms in 66 square metres. Thirteen room types are on offer, including an accessible room.

Eight restaurants cover the range. Chipotle is the main buffet with live cooking and a terrace with views, and Agave serves Mexican food with a la carte dinners. Sakura covers Japan, China and Thailand in a buffet, Duomo is the Italian restaurant, Steak House does meat and sides, and American Country serves all-American favourites at an informal dinner. Pepe's Food handles the grill by day, and Tiki Taco is the taqueria buffet. Seven bars cover the rest.

The resort suits families who want a beachfront base on the Riviera Nayarit with a kids' club, water slides and a party programme for the evening.
