Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya is an adults-only hacienda-style resort on Playa del Secreto, a white-sand beach almost two kilometers long. Cancun airport is 25 minutes away and Playa del Carmen 30. Paths run through green gardens to a main pool that the resort counts among the most impressive in the Riviera Maya.

There are 560 junior suites and 15 one-bedroom suites, with views of the gardens and jungle, the Caribbean or the Golden pool. Some have swim-up terraces that open straight into the water. The Dunas suites add a private pool facing the sea, and the Diamond and Imperial suites have separate living rooms, terraces and two bathrooms. Every room has a whirlpool tub, a terrace or balcony and 24-hour room service.
Dinner runs through seven a la carte restaurants, with Italian, French, Asian, Japanese and Mexican kitchens and no reservations needed.
